Description | The Human Resources for Health (HRH) Kenya is aMechanism funded by the Presidents Emergency Fund forAIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the United States Agencyfor International Development (USAID). The mechanismis implemented by IntraHealth International Inc. and itspartners Amref Health Africa and Strathmore UniversityBusiness School (SBS).The aim of the mechanism is to strengthen healthworkforce management to achieve improved healthoutcomes in 27 PEPFAR focus counties. It is anticipatedthat by 2021: 1) Health workers training colleges will haveincreased numbers of market ready graduates who areresponsive to Kenyas disease burden; 2) National andCounty leadership will have efficient HRH managementsystems to address workforce challenges includingreduction of staff shortages; and, 3) National and CountyGovernments will make HRH decisions based on market driven data and disease epidemiology to improve healthoutcomes. |
